Balasore, Feb 21: In a tragic incident, a Class 10 student died under mysterious circumstances just before leaving for the annual Matric exam conducted by Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE).
The deceased is Chandrasekhar Majhi (15), son of Kailash Chandra Majhi and the incident has been reported from Baripada village under Bahanaga block in Balasore district.
As per reports, Chandrashekhar, a student of Aruhabad High School, experienced stomach pain after consuming chicken curry at a community feast three days back.
He was initially taken to Soro Hospital for treatment and was later discharged. However, his stomach pain persisted even after returning home.
Unfortunately, while leaving for his Matric board examination today, he collapsed. His family rushed him to Soro Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Upon getting the information, Soro police arrived at the hospital and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
