Bhubaneswar, April 3: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday inaugurated industrial unit and laid the foundation stone for 13 other major projects, collectively valued at a staggering Rs 5,770 crore. This ambitious initiative is projected to create over 37,030 job opportunities, marking a pivotal step towards enhancing the state's economic growth and employment landscape.
The event took place in Khurda district, with the Chief Minister performing the ceremonial groundbreaking for the projects. Among the key highlights was the inauguration of Varun Beverages Limited, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility established with an impressive investment of Rs 624 crore in Malipada, Khurda. This facility is expected to significantly contribute to the beverage industry while providing substantial employment opportunities for the local population.
In addition to Varun Beverages, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for 13 other large-scale industrial ventures, all strategically located within Khurda district. These projects span various sectors, including manufacturing, infrastructure, and technology, reflecting the government’s commitment to diversified industrial development across Odisha.
The Chief Minister, in his keynote address, highlighted the state government’s focus on transforming Odisha into an industrial hub, with an emphasis on sustainable development and inclusive growth.
