Bhubaneswar, Apr 17: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Thursday approved a proposal to increase the monthly salary of the personnel serving in the Odisha Special Striking Force (OSSF).
According to the press release issued by the Chief Minister's Office, Odisha government announced a significant hike in the monthly remuneration of various ranks within the OSSF.
Recently, the state government had formed three new battalions under the OSSF. These battalions mainly consist of former Army and Navy personnel, as well as retired staff from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
Here are the details as per the new salary structure:
- Sipahi (GD): Monthly salary increased from ₹30,000 to ₹45,000
- Lance Naik/Naik/Havildar (GD): Increased from ₹32,000 to ₹50,000
- Junior Commissioned Officer (GD): Increased from ₹40,000 to ₹55,000
- Junior Commissioned Officer (Instructor): Increased from ₹40,000 to ₹55,000
For marine-related roles:
- Dinghy Driver/Seaman Mechanic/Khalasi: Increased from ₹30,000 to ₹45,000
- Sarang/Engine Driver: Increased from ₹32,000 to ₹50,000
- Master: Increased from ₹40,000 to ₹55,000
