Bhubaneswar, February 23: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj today.
He along with his wife Priyanka Marandi and other family members, CM Majhi participated in the sacred ritual during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela, offering prayers at the Sangam.
Following the dip, CM Majhi expressed that the experience was a deeply special moment for him, especially as the Chief Minister of Odisha, to be part of such a divine occasion. He prayed for the well-being of the people of Odisha and the nation as a whole. Additionally, he commended the arrangements made by the Uttar Pradesh government for the event.
As part of his pilgrimage, CM Majhi is also scheduled to visit Ayodhya, where he will offer prayers at the Ram Lala temple, and then travel to Varanasi for a darshan of Kashi Vishwanath.
