Bhubaneswar, Oct 31: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will be celebrating this year's Diwali in his ancestral village of Raikala in Keonjhar district. The two-day visit, starting Thursday, will allow him to spend the festive occasion with his family and the local villagers.

In keeping with tribal traditions, a special puja will be conducted in the area, which the Chief Minister will attend.

Before heading to his hometown, Majhi and his wife, Priyanka Marandi, visited Unit-1 market in Bhubaneswar to purchase diyas and other Diwali essentials.

While addressing the media, Majhi extended his Diwali wishes to everyone and encouraged people to buy local products to support the local community.
