Bhubaneswar, April 26: On Odisha's decision to deport Pakistani nationals from the state, Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan says, “Till now we have got a list of 12 people. Government will take appropriate action on this, and they will be deported soon. Police are doing their job...they are identifying the infiltrators."

Following the directive of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the Commissionerate Police in Cuttack has begun the process of identifying Pakistani nationals. This effort has been expedited over the past two days. As per police records, three Pakistani nationals, including one minor, have been identified in Cuttack so far. Among them is an elderly individual who has been residing in the city on a long-term visa for many years. It is reported that this individual has now reached an advanced age.

The other two identified individuals are minors. They are listed as Pakistani nationals in official records because their mother is Indian and their father is Pakistani. However, the couple is now divorced. Notices have been issued to all the identified Pakistani nationals by the Commissionerate Police. The Ministry of Home Affairs will be informed about the developments, and further action will be taken based on their decision, as confirmed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Cuttack.
