Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will raise the national flag at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, while Governor Kambhampati Hari Babu will unfurl the tricolor at the state-level ceremony in Bhubaneswar on January 26.

Odisha’s Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Sanjay Kumar, informed that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure both safety and the smooth conduct of the event. He noted that this year’s Republic Day would feature a vibrant display of patriotism, highlighted by a grand state-level parade showcasing various law enforcement agencies.

“The parade will involve 48 to 49 police contingents, including the 120 Battalion Continental Army, CRPF, BSF, Special Security Battalion, Armed Police Reserve (APR), Odisha Special Armed Police (OSAP), and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF),” ADG Kumar said.

Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) across the state are on high alert to manage the safe movement of guests and dignitaries attending the celebrations.

The government has urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security teams to ensure a peaceful and successful Republic Day.
