Bhubaneswar, January 22: The Odisha government will claim over 12L crore from the 16th Finance Commission, for a robust development of the state.
Odisha’s state cabinet, led by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, approved the phenomenal proposal on Wednesday.
It has been resolved in the Cabinet that the Odisha government will seek Rs 12,56,148 crore from the 16th Finance Commission which will be utilised in implementing public welfare initiatives and scaling up public infrastructures for all round development.
CM Majhi said, a delegation from the 16th Finance Commission is scheduled to visit Odisha during February 6-8 where the Odisha government will lay its proposal of allocating Rs 12,56,148 crore that will be spent for developmental projects before the fiscal year 2031.
