Bhubaneswar, Oct 10: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) will conduct the faculty recruitment process of Odisha government engineering colleges. The OPSC will conduct both written examination and viva test for assistant professor, associate professor, and professor posts as per the guidelines of All India Council for Technical Education, said Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary, Skill Development & Technical Education. Experts from Odisha and other states will be the members of the selection committee. Besides, guest faculties will be hired instead of contractual teachers, added Sharma. The department has issued a notice in this regard. However, the recruitment process for Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) in Rourkela, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla, and Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology in Sarang have not been mentioned in the notification. Notably, earlier the college management was conducting the recruitment process in state-run engineering colleges.
