New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, Nov 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday paid tributes to India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his 134th birth anniversary.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, "Tributes to our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru Ji on his birth anniversary."
Similarly, CM Naveen took to his official X handle and wrote, “Humble tributes to first Prime Minister of independent India, Pt. #JawaharlalNehru on his birth anniversary, celebrated as #ChildrensDay to commemorate his special love for children. His invaluable contribution towards the nation's freedom struggle and efforts in building a progressive and modern India will be remembered forever.”
Nehru's birthday is celebrated as Children's Day or 'Bal Diwas'.
Nehru was born on November 14, 1889 in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj (then Allahabad).
