Prayagraj, Feb 18: Mahakumbh DIG Vaibhav Krishna on Tuesday said police personnel will be deployed at all sensitive places for the last snan of Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 scheduled for February 26 (Mahashivratri).
"Instructions have been issued at traffic diversion points in the Kumbh Mela area to ensure that if any diversion is near an examination center, students are allowed to reach their centers without any issues. We are sending the crowd from Kumbh through regulated routes and staying vigilant. With the 'snan' on February 26 still ahead, we will deploy personnel at all sensitive locations to maintain safety," said Krishna.
As the Maha Kumbh Mela nears its end, Prayagraj is seeing a surge in crowds at the railway station, with devotees continuing to flock to the Triveni Sangam for a sacred dip.
It is worth mentioning that over 52 crore devotees have already taken a holy dip at the world’s largest spiritual gathering. On Monday, the Prayagraj Railway station witnessed a massive influx of devotees. Police officials remained on high alert to manage the overwhelming crowd.
Meanwhile, the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force G.P. Singh on Sunday reviewed the security arrangements for Prayagraj's Mahakumbh and praised the 'excellent synergy' between the Uttar Pradesh Police, CRPF, and all other agencies involved.
