Bhubaneswar, January 5: The Central government under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched several initiatives aimed at ensuring the welfare of Indian nationals living abroad, strengthening their ties with the homeland, and empowering them to contribute to India's development.
The upcoming 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) is going to take place in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from January 8 to 10, marking a significant chapter in this ongoing engagement. This is the first time Odisha will host the prestigious event, which will be graced by Prime Minister Modi on January 8 and President Droupadi Murmu on January 9.
The PBD Convention will be a key platform for the Government of India, enabling members of the Indian diaspora from across the globe to connect, share experiences, and contribute to the country’s development. The theme of this year's event—“Diaspora’s Contribution to a Viksit Bharat” (Developed India)—highlights the crucial role of the global Indian community in shaping India’s growth story.
