Mumbai, Mar25: The makers of Raid 2 have revealed the first-look poster of Riteish Deshmukh, giving fans a glimpse of him in a bold political role. Sharing his intense look on social media, Riteish wrote, "Kanoon ka mohtaj nahi, kanoon ka malik hai Dada Bhai! #Raid2 knocking in cinemas near you from 1st May."
In the poster, the Masti actor radiates power and authority, standing confidently amid a crowd with his hand raised. Dressed in a kurta paired with a jacket, he perfectly embodies the character of a formidable politician.
Just a day earlier, the makers had released Ajay Devgn's first look as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, teasing another thrilling raid in a new city. Devgn shared his poster with the caption, “Naya Shehar. Nayi File. Aur Amay Patnaik Ki Ek Nayi Raid. #Raid2 knocking at your doors in cinemas near you on 1st May, 2025."
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 also stars Vaani Kapoor alongside Devgn and Deshmukh. The sequel to the 2018 hit Raid follows Amay Patnaik’s journey as he takes on another high-profile white-collar crime. Like the first film, it is inspired by real-life income tax raids, offering a deep dive into the intricate investigations carried out by the Income Tax Department and intelligence agencies.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, Raid 2 is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Panorama Studios. The film is slated for a theatrical release on May 1, 2025.
