Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: The Commissionerate Police on Thursday busted a sex racket operating in a house near Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar.
Khandagiri police have sealed the house and rescued as many as four girls.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the place, sealed the house and rescued at least four girls.
The rescued girls have been taken to the police station for further interrogation.
Further investigation is underway.
Worth mentioning, a recent sex trafficking operation involving at least 23 Bangladeshi women was uncovered in Bhubaneswar.
The women were reportedly promised jobs with a daily wage of Rs 2,000, which lured them to the city. However, upon their arrival, they were coerced into involving in the illegal racket.
The Commissionerate of Police also initiated a major crackdown on the spa centres, salons and massage parlours scattered in the Capital city to bust illegal flesh trades running in them.
