Former Delhi CM and vetrean Congress leader Shiela Dixit's son Sandeep Dixit though finished third in the New Delhi constituency power duel, had the last laugh as Arvind who dusted Shiela in her bastion in 2013, Saturday stands defeated.
As per ECI data, Aam Admi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal polled 25,999 votes to 30,088 votes polled by BJP candidate Parvesh Sahib Singh, son of former Delhi CM and BJP leader Sahib Singh Verma.
The ECI data shows Arvind losing to Parvesh by 4089 votes.
FORMER CM SHEILA DIXIT’S SON AVENGES KEJRIWAL
Arvind Kejriwal who stormed to the national political stage by turning a giant killer and defeating mighty Shiela Dixit on the New Delhi assembly seat in 2013 by a big margin, has bitten dust Saturday.
Former Delhi CM Shiela Dixit’s son Sandeep Dixit has been the Congress candidate from the prestigious New Delhi seat.
Though he couldn’t win the duel with Arvind Kejriwal, he took sweet revenge on Arvind in the high stake battle.
Sandeep Dixit polled 4568 votes, when the winning margin in the constituency has been 4,089.
The vote arithmetic shows had the INDI Alliance had been in the race as one entity, Arvind Kejriwal could have escaped defeat by a slender margin.
After the election results, J&K CM Omar Abdullah took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi saying. “Ab aur lado ek doosre se..” – means now, fight more with each other!

As the news flash of Arvind Kejriwal losing to former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma’s son Parvesh Verma by a margin of 4089 votes came to the public domain, memes on an old video of Arvind Kejriwal went viral.
As the Delhi election result is heavily trending on social media, the old video of Arvind Kejriwal, where the AAM Admi Party leader is seen saying that the BJP will never be able to defeat the Aam Aadmi Party in this lifetime, went viral.
The video has been of the year 2023, where addressing the party workers' meeting in 2023 in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal had said:
"BJP’s intention is to topple the AAP government, and Narendra Modi ji wants to form a government in Delhi this way; they know they can't defeat us through elections. I want to tell Narendra Modi ji that you cannot defeat us in this life, and you will have to take another birth to defeat us in Delhi."
Interestingly, Arvind Kejriwal has not said the ‘iss Janam mein nahin..” to Modi, once but many times.

BJP’s former Delhi President and popular Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari has also reacted to the old video that went viral Saturday.
Manoj Tiwari said, “Kejriwal ji AAP iss janam mein har gaye ho. Logon ke dilon mein aapke liye HATE hai.”
