Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ace women sprinter Srabani Nanda bagged double gold medals, Amiya Kumar Mallick and Astik Pradhan won a gold medal each for the State in the one-day Indian Open Athletics Meet at Ranchi on Thursday.
Odisha's Srabani Nanda won gold medals each in the Women’s 100m and 200m race clocking 12.33 and 24.75 sec respectively.
Other two gold medals for Odisha are Amiya Kumar Mallick won in the men’s 100m Race-A with 10.66 sec and Astik Pradhan got a gold medal in the men's 200m Race-C with a timing of 21.78 sec.
In the women’s 100m race, the silver and bronze medals were won by Jyoti of Delhi and Sukhi Baskey of Odisha by clocking 12.86 and 13.10 sec respectively.
In the 200m Women’s race, the silver and bronze medal won by Bidisha Kundu of West Bengal and Swathi Rongali of Andhra Pradesh by 25.10 and 25.21 sec respectively.
Abhinash Sahu from Odisha and Aditya Tomar won silver and bronze in the race-A clocking 10.71 and 10.74 sec respectively in the men’s 100m Race-A.
In the men’s 100m Race-B, Dharmbir Dharmbir of Haryana, Mahendra Santa of Odisha and Yateesh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh got gold, silver and bronze medals with a timing of 10.74, 10.94 and 11.12 sec respectively.
