Kalinganagar, Feb 13: The first batch of annealed coils from Tata Steel Kalinganagar's (TSK) state-of-the-art Continuous Annealing Line (CAL) at the Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) Complex was despatched from Common Product Despatch Yard in the plant premises on Thursday.
It was flagged off by Rajiv Kumar, Vice President (Operations), TSK, in the presence of Karamveer Singh, General Manager (Operations), TSK and Harbinder Singh Deepak, General Manager (Project and Construction), TSK and NINL along with other senior officials.This event marks a significant achievement in the company's advanced manufacturing capabilities.
The Continuous Annealing Line, was established as part of Tata Steel Kalinganagar’s phase II expansion from 3 MTPA to 8 MTPA.
The new CAL, equipped with future-ready technologies, is positioned among the top three-benchmark automotive lines globally. It will produce a wide range of high-quality automotive steels, including Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS), with unparalleled consistency and reliability. This will further strengthen Tata Steel's leading position in Indian auto market.
