Bhubaneswar, Nov 20: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the dates for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), December 2024.
Candidates can check their eligibility to apply on the official website of NTA -https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/.
The application window for the UGC-NET exam remains open until December 10, 2024. However, candidates will have a day more till December 11, 2024, to submit the fee. The correction window, allowing applicants to make adjustments to their application forms, will be available from December 12 to December 13, 2024.
The upcoming UGC-NET December session is slated to take place between January 1 and January 19, 2025, covering 85 subjects. This examination will be held exclusively in Computer Based Test (CBT) format.
Application fees vary based on candidate categories. For General and Unreserved candidates, the fee is Rs 1150. Candidates from the General EWS and OBC NCL categories will pay Rs 600, while those from SC/ST and Third Gender groups will be required to pay Rs 325.
The UGC-NET exam originally scheduled for June 2024 was abruptly cancelled due to concerns about the exam's integrity. Allegations of a potential question paper leak and other procedural issues led to widespread protests among candidates. As a result, the June exam was rescheduled and successfully conducted in September 2024.
