Unable to bear crop loss, farmer dies from heart attack in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack, Jan 6: In a tragic incident, a farmer reportedly died from a heart attack after his ready-to-harvest paddy crop was ruined by unseasonal rain in Niali block of Odisha’s Cuttack district on Sunday.
The deceased farmer has been identified as Indrajit Chatoi (48).
As per reports, Indrajit visited his fields on Sunday and was deeply stressed upon seeing the damage caused to his crops. He was reportedly worried about how he would provide for his family and burden of losses.
After returning home, he had dinner and went to bed. Tragically, he did not wake up the next morning, despite his family’s attempts to rouse him.
He was rushed to a nearby medical facility where the attending doctor declared him brought dead.
