Odisha CM inaugurates annual flower exhibition in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, January 7: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has no Tuesday inaugurated the Annual State-Level Flower Exhibition at the Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) in Ekamra Kanan.

The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Plant Lovers Association, will run for five days, from January 7 to 11, and features participation from over 70 institutions from across the state.

In the inaugural address, CM Majhi emphasized the importance of flowers in Odisha’s cultural, social, and spiritual life. He also said the global appeal of the exhibition, noting that international delegates attending the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas conclave would have the opportunity to visit and experience the vibrant displays.

The exhibition showcases an array of floral exhibits, including cut flowers, bonsai, orchids, and themed gardens. In addition, cultural performances such as Odissi, Chhau, Sambalpuri, and Paika dances will take place throughout the event. As part of the inauguration, CM Majhi also unveiled several new attractions, including a new gate complex, a multi-colored garden, and a cactus house.

Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia, Minister of Forests, Environment, and Climate Change was the guest of honor of the ceremony. Satyabrat Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary of the Forest and Environment Department was also present in the occasion.
