Odisha: 20 injured as OSRTC bus overturns after hitting electric pole

Sundargarh, Feb 22: In a tragic incident, as many as 20 people were injured after an Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) bus they were travelling in overturned after hitting an electric pole in Lahunipada locality of Odisha’s Sundargarh district in the wee hours of Saturday.

As per reports, the mishap took place near Muchurinala under Lahunipada police limits in the district when the bus, with over 50 passengers en-route to Puri from Rourkela, went out of control and hit an electric pole. Subsequently, it overturned injuring 20 people.

The injured passengers were rushed to the IGH Medical College and Hospital in Rourkela for treatment.

Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and launched a probe into the matter.
