Bhubaneswar, February 22: The Works Department, government of Odisha is set to introduce Work Passbook, for a robust infra development across the state.
Apart from it, the datatabase of the public works will be made available in a Work Dashboard, that will be well accessible for the public, to check and review the status online.
Works Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan informed it on Saturday.
Underlining the significance of Works Passbook & Departmental Dashboard, the minister said, both the digital and online mechanisms will ensure swift delivery of services bringing greater transparency to project management, accelerate project completion, and assure accountability.
The Work Passbook will record the estimated cost, current progress, and other details regarding the public works either planned or chalked out making them available and accessible in the public domain.
Similarly the ‘Work Dashboard’ system will enable common men and government functioneries to review and socially audit all the projects implemented by the PWD (Public Works Department) at ease.
Gradually the Work Passbook and Dashboard will be adopted in the Panchayati Raj and Engineering Departments,the minister added.
