When King Khan faced back to back flops, took a 5-year sabbatical from the silver screen, only to return with a bang with two All Time Blockbusters like Pathaan and Jawan, Akshay Kumar aka Khiladi Kumar seems in no mood to take a break from the silver screen.
The superstar has donned roles in myriads of genre films, but the crown of glory eluded him. Since the super-hit Sooryavansh in 2021, Akki is starring at a string of flops and disasters for the last three years. 2024 was a bad year for Akshay Kumar.
His movie Khel Khel Mein bombed at the box office. Same has been the fate of Sarfira. But this never say die attitude actor seems to have taken everything in his stride. And displaying sportsmanship is waiting for the day to write glorious story again.
AKSHAY REVEALS BIG IN MUMBAI
During the event of release of Sky Force trailer in Mumbai, Akshay was fired with a volley of questions with regard to his poor show for the last three years, and about the counsels by many Bolywood biggies to concentrate on 1 or 2 good films.
This never says die actor, known in bollywood as the ‘comeback star’, pooh-poohed the critics and hit out at the barbs aimed at him.
Akshay said, “I will not go by the advice of doing 1 or 2 films a year.” He questioned, “why should I do?” and added “If I can do all these films in a year, why should I stop. I have built my career in the industry through this base… I will keep doing as many films as I can..”
Moreover, the superstar said, “Many counseled me of not doing content based films.. Why shouldn’t I do… I will do such movies … I love them doing…. Though Sarfira didn’t perform well at the box office… I consider it one of my best film..”
The Akshay talk in Mumbai shows the superstar seems in a mood to pick up the thread again and witness a new dawn in 2025. The year is also lined up with back to back big banner Akshay Kumar movies. The details given below.
