Bhubaneswar: The historical thriller Chhaava, which had a grand music launch with the cast and the music maestro AR Rahman in Mumbai and together with the launch of impressive visuals in the trailer and the soulful music had created a wave of buzz among audiences prior to its release.
The consequence has been that Chhaava on day one saw an advance booking of over Rs 7 lakh tickets, including 2.22 lakhs in national chains.
Recently, the period drama has crossed the 10 million milestone. The fim has recorded sale of over 10mn tickets till date, as per Book My Show data.

ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY AFFECTS CHHAAVA SUNDAY SHOW
The fire in Chhaava is yet to douse. The film took a solid start on 4th Friday and collected 6.30 crore net. On 4th Saturday, the collections jumped by a huge 115% to gross 13.70 crore - double digit collection.
The movies’s collections, however, dropped to Rs 8.43 crore net thanks to the ICC Champions Trophy Final on 4th Sunday.
The film’s 4th weekend collection has therefore dropped to Rs 22.13cr, when trade pundits were expecting at least 30 cr collection in the 4th weekend. However, the film has a total net collection of 524.83 crore net.
Trade pundits predicts its lifetime collections to hover around 540-550cr. Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava has been declared as the first Indian blockbuster in 2025!
CHHAAVA A HIT In TOLLYWOOD
Recently, the Vicky movie saw Telugu release. On the opening day, the movie surprised all with an impressive collection of Rs2.63 crore net on day one. On day 2 the film grossed 3.31 crore net followed by 2.22 crore on day three. The first weekend total Chhaava had in Telugu has been estimated at Rs 8.16 crore net.
CHHAAVA HISTORIC THRID WEEK
For the Vicky Kaushal movie, the third week has been historic. The film on 3rd Friday collected 13.30 crore net which was almost similar to 2nd Thursday. The film jumped big by 69% and collected 22.50 crore net on 3rd Saturday. Film added 24.30 crore on 3rd Sunday.
With an impressive 60 cr collection in third weekend, Chhaava grossed more than Pushpa 2, Stree 2 and Baahubali 2 in the 3rd weekend.
