Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister and Women and Child Development Minister Pravati Parida on Wednesday revealed that as many as 157 men have applied for financial aid under ‘Subhadra Yojana’.
The Minister added that the applications have been rejected as the scheme only aims to empower women.
Parida said that Odia women living and working outside the state are also eligible to apply for the Subhadra Yojana and appealed them to do it at the earliest.
Notably, she had announced that the fourth phase of the first installment of Subhadra Yojana funds will be released to beneficiaries soon. According to Parida, around 20 lakh eligible beneficiaries are still awaiting the benefits of the program.
