Bhubaneswar, Jan 7: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi inaugurated the renowned annual tribal fair, Adivasi Mela, at the Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. This year’s fair is being held from January 5 to January 16, just ahead of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas conference.
Key attractions of Adivasi Mela 2025 in Bhubaneswar:
Adivasi Village & Adivasi Market
• Traditional tribal huts showcasing the lifestyle and architecture of various indigenous communities.
• A vibrant market with stalls offering tribal handicrafts, textiles, ornaments, and other unique tribal products.
Tribal Art and Culture
• Over 40 stalls dedicated to displaying tribal art, crafts, and cultural artifacts.
• Live demonstrations at 15+ stalls, providing visitors with hands-on experiences of tribal crafts and techniques.
Birsa Munda Pavilion
• A special pavilion dedicated to Birsa Munda, a prominent tribal freedom fighter and leader.
