Puri, Feb 8: Ahead of the much-anticipated One Day International (ODI) match between India and England at Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium scheduled for February 9, cricketers Washington Sundar, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Akshar Patel today visited the Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri and sought the blessings of the holy trinity.
As per reports, the cricketers arrived at the temple early in the morning, accompanied by tight security, and received a warm welcome from the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
Thereafter, they were escorted through the Beherana Dwara to the Ratna Singhasan, where they offered prayers to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra.
After their visit to the 12th-century shrine, the players shared their joy and gratitude for the chance to receive divine blessings.
