The title and the poster dropped the clear hint that the upcoming Bhoot Bangla will be horror –comedy. The posters released were captivating and the continued dropping of the posters has set the tone for the arrival of the film.
Today, the Khiladi star made an instagram post announcing the beginning of the shooting of the film. He posted,
“Beyond excited to be on set with my favourite @priyadarshan.official as we begin the shoot of our horror comedy #BhoothBangla today. Yeh darr aur hasi ka double dose aapke liye ready hoga 2nd April, 2026 ko! Tab tak ke liye aapke best wishes chahiye
The superstar revealed that Bhoot Bangla will deliver the movie watchers a double dose of comedy and horror. And the film will be released on April 2 2026. The sooryavanshi star sought peole’s blessings and west wishes.

WHO WILL BE LEAD ACTRESS?
When the posters released earlier confirmed the roles of Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani I nthe comedy – horror extravaganza, it didn’t drop any clue on who will be the lead actress in the film.
However, well known entertainment site exclusively claimed that Priyadarshan and Ekta Kapoor have locked Wamiqa Gabbi as one of the three female leads of this horror comedy.
It further claimed Akshay and Wamiqa will share a unique dynamic in Bhooth Bangla, and the details have been kept under wraps.
Quoting sources Pinkvilla added that “Apart from Wamiqa, the film will feature two more female actors. It’s a comic caper with horror elements, and three girls in the same house, alongside a mad ensemble comprising of among others. More casting of Bhooth Bangla is underway.”
