Bhubaneswar: Bollywood super Khiladi star Akshay Kumar has been hogging the headlines for his mind-blowing performance in Keshari Chapter 2, as revealed by the trailer. The film is hitting the silver screens on April 18.
While the superstar’s film will be in movie houses very soon, the actor has also been in news for one of his much-hyped upcoming film Bhoot Bangla.
When the buzz doing around has been that the upcoming movie of Akshay Kumar Bhoot Bangla will be the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa, reports suggest that the climax of his upcoming horror comedy will be soon shot at Hyderabad. And at the same director Priyadarshan has dropped some hints about Bhoot Bangla.
BHOOTH BANGLA: ORIGINAL BHOOL BHULAIYA?
It needs reminding here that in 2007, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan teamed up for the horror movie Bhool Bhulaiya, which was released on 1050 screens on Oct 12, 2007. The film had a high IMDb rating of 7.5/10.
The film had a footfall of over 1.17cr and had a worldwide collection of Rs 82cr. Made on a budget of Rs 32 cr, the film’s net India earnings were Rs 68cr. The film was declared a hit.
However, over the years the horror comedy has attained a cult status, and Akki’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa laid the foundation of hit horror franchise Bhol Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3.
But as per media release of Bhoot Bangla, it will have the perfect mix of horror with humour. The madness will unfold in the palace or the Bangla in the grip of supernatural elements with Akshay Kumar’s character becoming the centre of the horror-comedy frenzy show.
In a chat recently, iconic director Priyadarshan, however, revealed that Bhoot Bangla has nothing to do with Bhool Bhulaiyaa. He revealed that Bhool Bhulaiyaa was pshycological thriller genre film, but Bhoot Bangla will be a movie on Black Magic fantasy.
CLIMAX SHOOT OF BHOOT BANGLA
As per reports, Akshay Kumar and Tabu will shoot the climax of the film this month in Hyderabad. The shooting will be done at a huge palace designed by Art Director Sabu Cyril at Ramoji Studios.
However, the shooting for the final leg of the film will be done in London. Reports says, Akshay, Tabu and Wamiqa will leave for London, after wrapping up the climax scene here. In London, few scenes and a song were to be shot at.
