Prayagraj, March 26: The Allahabad High Court Bar Association's strike protesting the transfer of Delhi High Court Justice Yashwant Varma, entered its second day on Wednesday.

Bar Association President Anil Tiwari said, “This protest is not against any court or judge, but against those who have betrayed the judicial system.” He emphasized, "Our fight is against corruption and a lack of transparency in the system. We demand a reconsideration and withdrawal of the transfer order."

The Bar Association had decided to go on an indefinite strike starting Tuesday, reiterating its opposition to Justice Varma's transfer, which follows an inquiry into a significant cash discovery at his official residence after a fire on March 14.

The Supreme Court collegium, led by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, confirmed Justice Varma's transfer on Monday.
