Bhubaneswar, February 12: All-party meeting, chaired by Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, was convened on Wednesday to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming Budget session, set to commence on February 13.
The meeting aimed to foster coordination between the ruling and opposition parties, ensuring a constructive and disruption-free session.
The Budget session will unfold in two phases—Phase 1 from February 13 to 21 and Phase 2 from March 7 to April 5. The state budget for the financial year 2025-26 will be presented on February 17 by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who also holds the finance portfolio.
The session will commence with the Governor’s address on February 13, followed by discussions on the motion of thanks on February 14 and 15.
