Koraput, Mar 15: Lieutenant Subhasis Rath from Bhabani Nagar, Koraput, has brought pride to Odisha by earning a commission in the Indian Army.
After completing his rigorous training at the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai, he was among the 40 candidates selected nationwide through the NCC entry scheme, securing an impressive 19th rank. Notably, he was the only candidate from Odisha to achieve this feat.
At just 21 years old, Subhasis has successfully transitioned from an NCC cadet to a commissioned officer. In a proud and emotional moment, his parents affixed the star on his shoulders during the passing-out parade held on March 8.
Reflecting on his journey, Subhasis highlighted the challenges he faced, including a highly competitive written examination and an intense SSB interview process. His 11 months of rigorous training at OTA have now prepared him to serve the nation with dedication and valor.
His achievement has inspired aspiring defence personnel in Odisha, proving that determination and perseverance can turn dreams into reality.
