Bhubaneswar: Top seed Amrutjay Mohanty bagged double titles, by winning men’s singles and doubles categories of the three-day long 11th Utkal Open Tennis Championship, which concluded at Kalinga Stadium here on Sunday.
In the men’s single final, Amrutjay defeated Anshuman Singh 6-0,6-1 and in the doubles final he partnering Subhranil Barman edged out Chinmay Pradhan and Ansu Bhuyan 6-2, 6-2.
The Life time achievement award was received by Prakash Mishra and Sanjeev Marik , the Best Sportsman sprite award was received by Ashok Das, while Aditya Satapathy got Best dressed player and Sanrachana Das adjudged emerging player of the tournament.
Sports and Youth Services Secretary Bhaskar Joyti Sarma gave away the prizes in presence of Principal Secretary to Government of Odisha Saswat Mishra, PCCF Debi Dutta Biswal, Utkal Builders Ltd Managing Director Sarad Baid, ACE President Prakash Chand Bhura and Organising Chairman Dr Biswajit Mishra.
