Bhubaneswar, Sept 28: The Bomikhal Durga Puja 2023 committee here is all set to welcome Goddess Durga with the Hastinapur Palace-themed pandal this year.
The pandal will be 75 feet tall and 120 feet wide while the altar will be 18 feet high.
The committee has laid out a budget of Rs 50 lakh for Durga Puja 2023. Goddess Durga will wear a silver crown of seven kg weight for the first time this year.
The committee has arranged cooked prasad for over 2000 devotees on Asthami and Dashami.
"This year we're celebrating 60 years of Durga Puja at Bomikhal. The Governor of Odisha Prof. Gansehi Lal is scheduled to visit the Mandap on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, "said committee president Prakash Chandra Jena.

"Our pandal draws huge crowds every year and people appreciate our creativity and the theme. Special arrangements will be made for differently-abled persons to make their visit to the pandal hassle-free, "said Committee secretary Ajay Kumar Pradhan.
As many as 30 volunteers and puja committee members will also remain present to help and guide visitors and senior citizens at the pandal. Provision of walkie-talkies and 12 CCTVs has also been made for peaceful celebration, he said. Melody and cultural programs have been arranged for five days.
