Odisha govt appoints Suresh Pant as new PCCF

Bhubaneswar, March 1: The Odisha government has appointed IFS Officer Suresh Pant as the new Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF). Pant, a 1990-batch officer of the Odisha cadre, will take over from Debidutta Biswal, a 1988-batch IFS officer.

Currently serving as the Managing Director (MD) of the Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC) Ltd. since 2021, Pant brings extensive experience to the role. 

Before his tenure at OFDC, Pant served as the Regional Chief Conservator of Forests (RCCF) for the Bhawanipatna Circle in Kalahandi district from November 24, 2015, to July 22, 2018. Following that, he was posted as the RCCF for the Berhampur Circle starting on July 25, 2018.
