Bhubaneswar, March 1: Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Police has arrested another key suspect involved in the murder of Sahadev Nayak, a Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) employee and well-known social worker.
The arrested accused is identified as Sushant Nayak, who had reportedly abandoned his two-wheeler and was on the run after the crime.
Before this arrest, seven accused had already been arrested for their alleged role in the murder. Notably, Rama Nayak, one of the accused, surrendered at the Mancheswar Police Station on February 16, leading to further developments in the investigation.
Sahadev Nayak, a resident of Kedarpalli slum in the Capital Police station jurisdiction, was tragically murdered on the morning of January 8, 2025. He was attacked with sharp weapons while returning home after dropping off his daughter at school in the VSS Nagar area.
