Bhubaneswar, Mar 15: Veteran actress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Hema Malini, known for her graceful dance performances, captivated audiences at the Vrindavan Mahotsav in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of Holi.
The artist, who is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, mesmerised spectators with a stunning performance during the festival.
Hema Malini, a household name in Indian cinema, has seamlessly transitioned into politics while continuing to showcase her passion for classical dance.
Her presence at the Vrindavan Mahotsav added grandeur to the event, which was organised by renowned flutist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.
Sharing glimpses of her spiritual journey, Hema Malini took to Instagram to express her joy. She revealed that on the eve of Holi, she visited the Vrindavan Gurukul, an institution associated with Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. Along with a video from the visit, she wrote, “Yesterday, on the eve of Holi, I was fortunate to visit Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia Ji’s Vrindavan Gurukul.”
Apart from her illustrious film career, Hema Malini has made significant contributions to Indian politics. She has served as the Member of Parliament from Mathura, representing the BJP, and is currently in her third term.
With a legacy spanning decades, Hema Malini has enthralled audiences with memorable performances in iconic films like Prem Nagar, Haath Ki Safai, Trishul, Sholay, Seeta Aur Geeta, Satte Pe Satta, Patthar Aur Payal, and Baghban.
