Bhubaneswar, Mar 30: Mystery shrouded over the death of a student of Utkal University in Bhubaneswar after he was found dead in his hostel room today.
The deceased has been identified as Tapas Ranjan Nayak, a second-year postgraduate student in the Philosophy Department of the university.
According to his hostel mates, Tapas was in good health last night and was found dead in his room at Madhusudan Hostel of the varsity this morning. His sudden death has left everyone in shock.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and recovered his body. Subsequently, it was sent to the Capital Hospital here for post-mortem.
The cause of his death still remains unclear.
Further investigating into the matter is underway to determine the exact cause of death, said the police.
