Bhubaneswar, Apr 1: Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar registered a record-breaking 39 lakh visitors’ footfall and generated all-time high revenue of over Rs 25 crore from various sources during the financial year 2024-25.
The renowned zoo and botanical garden set a new record by attracting 39,52,097 visitors, resulting in a record-breaking revenue of Rs 25.37 crore from various sources.
Official data revealed that Nandankanan Zoological Park welcomed 37,71,980 visitors, while the State Botanical Garden attracted 1,80,117 visitors. The demographics included 32,32,126 adults, 7,19,178 children, and 793 foreign nationals.
The details of the record breaking revenue of Rs 25.37 crore is as follows:
- Rs 16.35 crore from entry fees, parking charges, and camera fees
- Rs 5.87 crore from outsourced facilities
- Rs 3.15 crore from the "Adopt an Animal" programme
