Bhubaneswar: Pan Indian superstar Prabhas has a massive fandom across the north south divide. All his movies carry a mega buzz. His upcoming horror-romantic comedy The Raja Saab is no exception.
The buzz is not alone about the upcoming magnum opus’ storline, its music has sparked discussion now. The Maruthi directorial has already faced delays, and the latest musical twist in film may push the film release much later. The film has been tentatively scheduled to release in April 2025. With the complete rehashing of songs, it seems the film's release will get postponed to a later date.
The reason has been revelaed by none other than the composer of the movie Thaman S. He has recently revealed that the film’s original songs were scrapped and completely redone.
WHY THE REHASH?
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Thaman said, “For The Raja Saab, we started composing the songs now. The makers finished the whole film and Prabhas Garu is coming up with commercial songs after a very long time.”
The celebrated music composer has also shared about how many and the genre of songs Prabhas film Raja Saab will host.
As per Thaman S, the film will feature
- A melody song
- An introduction song
- A high-energy dance track with three actresses
- A love song
The composer added, “So we are releasing each song at an appropriate time so that it looks fresh.”
Explaining why the earlier compositions removed, Thaman admitted that the old tracks wouldn’t have worked with today’s audience, even with upgrades.
He stated, “I should be updated and not cheat my producers,.”
He stressed the importance of staying relevant to current musical trends and ensuring the best return for the film’s investment.
PRABHAS FILM SCHEDULE
On the work front, the pan Indian star Prabhas has a busy lineup beyond The Raja Saab.
His next film Fauji, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is close to completion despite facing a delay due to his on-set injury. Fans are also excited about Spirit, a cop drama by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
The buzz doesn’t stop here as the actor has sequels for Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD, while Brahmarakshas (directed by Prasanth Varma) is also in development.
