Cuttack, Feb 5: At a time when the historical Barabati Stadium is bedecked to host the India-England ODI, a Kohli-lover has crafted the legend’s image on a peepal leaf.
A Cuttack-based artist, Surya Narayan Nayak, has translated his dream on the leaf who almost goes mad on praising cricketing legend Virat Kohli’s sporting spirit.
Nayak who hails from the Bidyadharpur area has artistically manifested Kohli’s face on the peepal leaf with a pencil.
Underneath Kohli’s real thumbnail, the artists has encapusulated a welcome note for his dream cricketer that features- ‘Welcome to Cuttack soil, Barabati calling’.
The gesture of the mere artist who is an uncommon fan of Kohli, has fascinated tens of thousands fans of Kohli, to come over the stadium to witness the magnificent Barabati Battle scheduled on February 9.
On being asked Nayak said, “ I am a blind fan of Virat Kohli. I have drawn his thumbnail on a green leaf out of love and gratitude to the idol.”
“If possible I will gift the token of art to Kohli during the historic ODI”, Nayak added.
