Bhubaneswar, March 13: Odisha has seen an average of 11,366 road accidents over the past five years, according to data shared in the state assembly on Thursday.
In response to a question posed by Prasanna Acharya, the BJD MLA from Rairakhol, Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena informed the house that 10,008 individuals were injured, and 5,433 people tragically lost their lives in these accidents.
