Bijapur (Chhattisgarh), February 15: A jawan from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), part of the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), was injured in an IED explosion during an area domination operation in Bijapur district, located near the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border. The blast, believed to have been caused by Naxals, resulted in injuries to Constable Arun Kumar Yadav.

According to Bijapur Police, on February 14, 2025, a CoBRA 202 team departed from Camp Nambi for the operation. During the patrol, the IED detonated, injuring Constable Yadav. The wounded jawan was promptly evacuated to Bijapur and then transferred to Raipur for further medical treatment. His condition is reported to be stable and he is out of danger.

Earlier this month, Chhattisgarh Police reported that three security personnel were injured in separate IED and spike hole trap incidents triggered by Naxals. The victims included one CRPF soldier and two District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel.
