Bhubaneswar, Oct 21: President Droupadi Murmu’s scheduled visit to Odisha from 23rd to 25th October has been postponed in view of cyclone alert.
Murmu was scheduled to embark on a three-day visit to Odisha from October 23, during which she was supposed to lay the foundation of several key railway and development projects in the state.
As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a low-pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal, which is expected to develop into Cyclone Dana. The cyclone is likely to make landfall between Puri and Sagar Island on the morning of October 24, with wind speeds projected between 110-120 kmph.
