New Delhi, Sept 14: A man has been arrested for allegedly strangling his wife to death for using social media in Delhi, police said on Saturday.
The incident took place on Friday. The accused has been identified as Ram Kumar (33) of Razapur area.
"A murder case was reported in PS Prashant Vihar in which a person named Ram Kumar, aged 33 of Razapur, confessed that he has murdered his wife by strangling her,” said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rohini, Pankaj Kumar.
After enquiring further into the matter, it was revealed that his wife was addicted to social media and the couple used to fight over it.
An altercation took place between the duo on Friday that led to murder. A case has been registered in the matter and further investigation is underway, the police said.
