Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC Reserve team earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Mohun Bagan SG in the Reliance Foundation Development League (East Region) at the Kalyani Stadium B on Tuesday. Guided by head coach Amti Rana, the team put on a solid performance, staying defensively strong throughout the match.
While the Kalinga Warriors controlled most of the game, they struggled to create clear chances in the final third, with limited shots from both sides.
Kartik Handal brought Odisha back into the game early in the second half, calmly finishing to level the score at 1-1.
In the closing moment, Sunil Soren almost sealed it for Odisha with a stunning long-range strike, but a beautiful save from the Mohun Bagan SG goalkeeper kept the scoreline unchanged.
Odisha FC will now gear up for their next match against Diamond Harbour FC on January 19, 2025, at the Naihati Stadium.
