New Delhi, February 17: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday ruled out any conspiracy behind the tragic stampede at New Delhi Railway Station, asserting that there was no unusual rush at the time of the incident. In response to the tragedy, authorities have intensified crowd control measures by deploying additional security personnel, setting up holding areas, and enhancing CCTV surveillance.
According to sources, a team of police officials visited the station on Monday to review CCTV footage and piece together the sequence of events leading to the stampede on February 15, which claimed at least 18 lives and left 15 others injured.
Among the injured, five individuals are still receiving medical treatment in hospitals. Meanwhile, survivors continue to share harrowing accounts of their ordeal, as officials remain vigilant to prevent any further untoward incidents.
