Bhubaneswar: Global star Ram Charan’s Game Changer is a big budget film. The budget estimate of the mega star scion’s latest solo flick is estimated at whopping Rs 450cr.
As the hype around the pan-India movie Game Changer gains ground, especially as the countdown to the release of the film has started ticking in, a buzz revealed that the filmmakers have spent around Rs 75 crore on the songs.
The makers have spent a big fortune to make the songs refreshingly scenic with elegant picturesque locations, lavishness and grandeur in sets, besides the stunning dance moves of global star. The makers made every effort to make the songs of Game Changer a magnificent visual extravaganza.
As the makers spent a bug sum on the songs, here is a focus on one song of the film Game Changer that made the global star starred film qualify the pan-Indian film tag.
The big revelation about the song is it has the raw music and dance of Odisha.
The Song is titled ar Raa Macha Macha.
RAA MACHA MACHA
Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, Raa Macha Macha is an introduction song of Ram Charan in the film. The song sequenced well with global star making a dashing entry from helicopter to burst into energetic dance moves.
It seems the film makers have filmed this song as a tribute to Indian dance forms & folklore art. The song features as many as 1000 folk dancers alongside Ram Charan.
As the filmmakers raise a toast to the rich folk dances of the country, Odisha folk dances dominated in a big way or say the movie makers have a high taste for Odisha folk dances.
Even as this film is Tollywood production, the song has given equal focus on Odisha’s rich folk dances. As per the song producers, the folk dancers filmed along with global star Ram Charan, 3 folk dances each were from Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

ODISHA FOLK DANCES GO GLOBAL COURTESY GAME CHANGER
As per the information provided by the song producers of the film Game Changer, following three folk dancers were seen dancing with Naaty Naatu fame Ram Charan in the song Raa Macha Macha. The 3 folk dances are
- Ranapa
- Ghumra
- Paika
RANAPA DANCE: Popular folk dance from Ganjam district. The dance is accompanied by drum music and song narrates the childhood stories of lord Krishna. The dancers perform by dancing on stilts – apair of upright wooden poles.
PAIKA DANCE: This is a very captivating rhythmic dance where dancers make swift move with swords and shields. It is form of martial dance in Odisha (Khorda region). The dance is performed by members of Paika (warrior) community.
GHUMRA DANCE: is prevalent in Kalahandi. Though a tribal dance, it carries the elegance of classical dance. Ghumura Naat is believed to have been formed by the combination of Lord Shiva’s Damru and Goddess Saraswati’s Veena. The formation of such a powerful musical war instrument is described in a book called the Chandi Puran. This dance represent victory of good over evil.
