Jharsuguda, April 6: A fire broke out in the Union Bank, Jharsuguda Branch on Sunday that reportedly devoured a huge cache of records.
According to reports, locals discovered smoke coming out from inside the Bank and reported fire services officials. A fire tender rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames.
If the precise reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, the incident was suspected to trigger from the AC due to electrical shot circuit.
Bank officials began assessing the extent of the loss, especially with regard to records and paperwork, following the firemen’s investigation.
