Bhubaneswar: Ajay Devgn is known for his brave stunts in Bollywood. Last week, the actor stepped in during a risky shoot at Malshej Ghat after a cliff scene made the team uncomfortable, especially Arshad Warsi.
As per a report, the scene involved Ajay, Arshad, Riteish Deshmukh, and Jaaved Jaaferi hanging from a cliff in a comic setup. The team had planned to shoot it using VFX. Just days before, Ajay and director Indra Kumar chose to film it for real, which made some actors nervous—especially Arshad, who had to hang from the edge.
Quoting close source from the production team, the report revealed, “It wasn’t supposed to be a live-action sequence because the location can be precarious. But Ajay and Indra ji changed the plan. It’s a key comic scene, so using body doubles wasn’t possible. They had to deliver dialogues mid-air.”
Ajay quickly took charge. He teamed up with action director RP Yadav to rework the entire stunt. He kept the scene simple, removed risky moves, and explained everything clearly to each actor.
“These actors are in their 40s and 50s. Some have old injuries. Ajay understood that. He made sure everyone knew how the harnesses, safety nets, and emergency medical units would be in place during the shoot, ” the report claimed.
ARSHAD WARSI CONFIRMS!
After wrapping up the shoot, Arshad shared a heartfelt note on Instagram. In his post, he said that he had a ‘newfound respect’ for Ajay.
In the post he wrote, I have this new found respect for @ajaydevgn
He has conceived & executed an extremely dangerous and difficult action sequence with actors who are not very familiar with action or stunts. He made sure everyone felt secure and was safe. His planing was so meticulous and detailed that he finished a 15 days sequence in 4 days, without any accidents…
